Holiday MOTD
Since it's the holiday season, I thought I'd greet my server's users with a colourful MOTD. Feel free to use it by appending it to your current MOTD.
You can do so with the command sudo sh -c "curl /blog/2010-12-06-holiday-motd/holiday-motd
>> /etc/motd"
on normal UNIX stations, sudo sh -c "curl /blog/2010-12-06-holiday-motd/holiday-motd
>> /etc/motd.tail"
on Debian/Ubuntu systems.
It'll end up looking a little like this (to get the full effect, including blinking, run curl /blog/2010-12-06-holiday-motd/holiday-motd
):
Happy holidays!
